Methodology
How we research and check facts
Every claim on this site can be traced to a page, a sentence and a date.
Facts about other products
Every fact about another product comes from that product's own website: its pricing page, product pages or help centre. We link the exact pages and show the date we read them. If an official page does not say something, we write "not stated" rather than guess or borrow a number from a review site. The data behind our comparison is public as benchmark.json.
Rules and laws
When a page explains a rule, we quote the body that makes it: the regulator, the law itself, the standards body or the mailbox provider. Each page lists its sources at the end with the sentence we rely on and the date we read it. Pages about the law are general information, not legal advice; where a regulator says its guidance is under review, we say so.
How often we re-check
Product facts are re-checked at least every 45 days and sources at least every 90 days. Our own build refuses to publish a page whose facts are older than that. The date at the top of each page is the last time its content changed, not the last time the site was rebuilt.
What we do not do
- No scores or star ratings: they hide the reasons.
- No paid placements and no affiliate links.
- No quotes we have not checked against the source page.
- Where we are weaker than another product, we say so on the same page.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, write to contact@honestintros.com. We fix it, change the page's date and note what changed.
