Cold email reply classifier

Paste a reply to a cold email and see what it is, what to do next, and a starter reply you can edit.

Paste a reply to see what it is.

Runs in your browser. The reply is not sent anywhere and nothing is stored. The sample replies are fictional.

    How to use it

    1. Paste the reply. Leave out your own earlier email: quoted lines are ignored, but a clean paste is clearer.
    2. Optionally add the sender and subject. A bounce or an auto-reply is often recognised from those alone.
    3. Press Classify. Read what it is, do the next steps, and edit the starter reply before you send it.

It reads English plus the common auto-reply wording in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese. When it cannot tell, it says so rather than guessing: a person should read that one.

    What good looks like

Order matters, and it is the order Honest Intros uses on every reply: a bounce first, then someone who has left, a help desk, an auto-reply, an opt-out, and only then a person's answer, which is sorted into wrong person, later, interested or not interested.

Two rules worth copying by hand. An opt-out beats everything: stop at once. And a no is not an invitation to ask why. Our guide to answering "not interested" says what to write, if anything.

The patterns are the product's own, each one written against a real reply that fooled an earlier version. A match is a rule of thumb, not a verdict on the person.

    Questions

How does the reply classifier work?

It runs the same pattern rules our product uses on inbound replies: bounces, auto-replies, opt-outs, then a person's intent. No model is involved, so it is instant and the same every time.

    Is my reply sent anywhere?

No. The patterns download with the page and the check runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to us or stored.

Why does it sometimes say a person wrote back and nothing more?

Some replies are too short or too unusual for a pattern to decide. Those need a person, and saying so is safer than guessing wrong and sending the wrong follow-up.
